Materials

  • Yarn: Medium, Weight 4; Example made with Vanna’s Choice (Charcoal Grey, Aqua & White)
  • Hook: K (6.50mm)
  • Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape

Sizing

  • Gauge: 12 Stitches and 7 Rows = 4”X4” (dc)
  • These measurements are approximated, adjust hook accordingly.

Pattern Key

  • St/Sts: Stitch(es)
  • Ch: Chain
  • Sc: Single Crochet
  • Dc: Double Crochet

Special Stitches:

  • Dc2tog (Double Crochet Two Together): Yarn over, insert hook into next ch/st, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through two loops, yarn over, insert hook into next ch/st, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook.

Notes

  • Chain 3 will count as a stitch.
  • When you reach the point in the pattern, where it says ”dc2tog twice”, you are going to dc2tog in the next 2 chs/sts (which equals one dc2tog) and then dc2tog again in the next 2 chs/sts (which equals second dc2tog)
  • In this sample, 3 colors are used alternating every 6 rows.

You Need Your K Hook and Your Color Choice

Chain 99 

Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in next 9 chs, dc2tog twice, 1 dc in next 9 chs, 2 dc in next 2 chs*, 1 dc in next 9 chs, dc2tog twice, 1 dc in next 9 chs, 2 dc in last ch. – 88 dc & 8 dc2tog 

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc) and turn, 1 dc in same st, 1 dc in next 9 dc, dc2tog twice, 1 dc in next 9 dc, 2 dc in next 2 dc, 1 dc in next 9 dc, dc2tog twice, 1 dc in next 9 dc, 2 dc in last dc.  – 88 dc & 8 dc2tog 

Repeat Row 2 until the blanket measures 35 inches long.

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in next 9 chs, dc2tog twice, 1 dc in next 9 chs, 2 dc in next 2 chs*, 1 dc in next 9 chs, dc2tog twice, 1 dc in next 9 chs, 2 dc in last ch. – 154 dc & 14 dc2tog

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc) and turn, 1 dc in same st, 1 dc in next 9 dc, dc2tog twice, 1 dc in next 9 dc, 2 dc in next 2 dc, 1 dc in next 9 dc, dc2tog twice, 1 dc in next 9 dc, 2 dc in last dc.  – 154 dc & 14 dc2tog

Repeat Row 2 until the blanket measures 60 inches long.

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
